John Abdulai Jinapor, Former Deputy Minister of Power
Former Deputy Minister of power, John Abdulai Jinapor has served notice that he will not be intimidated or deterred by machinations from persons he described as misguided or self-seeking personalities who are exploring all avenues to drag his name into the mud.
His outburst follows claims that he received double salary as a Member of Parliament (MP) under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration and as a Minister.
The Yapei-Kusawgu lawmaker also rubbished claims he is indebted to the state-owned Metro Mass Transit (MMT) limited as contained in a list from grapevine sources making rounds on various media platforms.
In a Facebook post sighted by mynewsgh.com, Mr Jinpor described the conduct of those peddling the untruth as interesting and funny.
He said:” Is it not interesting and funny? Last week I was listed amongst MPs who were supposed to have collected what was termed “double salary” (as MP and Minister). What my detractors failed to realise is that I was not an MP under President Manama’s administration let alone collect salary from Parliament.
Today I’m supposed to be on a list of so-called politicians who are indebted to the Metro Mass Service, for some services rendered.
For the record, I have never used or contracted the services of Metro Mass Co. Ltd so I cannot be said to be indebted to same. Funny isn’t it.
These machinations by misguided and self-seeking elements as well as their paymasters will not deter nor intimidate me in any shape or form”
The former Presidential spokesperson indicated that he is resilient and for the records revealed he has not contracted the MMT for any services as claimed.
“I’m resilient and so shall it be”
