Former President John Dramani Mahama has prayed for the 110 school children believed to have been abducted by Boko Haram.
The Nigerian Islamist militant group stormed the school in the town of Dapchi in the north-eastern Yobe state on 19 February 2018. The attack has revived memories of the Chibok schoolgirl abduction in 2014.
President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, said it was a "national disaster" and apologised to the girls' families.
Commenting on this development, Mr Mahama tweeted that: “Not again! Boko Haram terrorist group abducts girls from school in Dapchi Village, Yobe State. We pray with Nigeria for their safe recovery.”
