Acting Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen, takes his turn on '21 minutes with KKB'.
The lawyer and politician talks about a wide range of issues including his recent act of 'indiscretion', insecurity in the country, his love for sports, relationship with some suspended national executives of the party, why he has no government appointment as well as predictions ahead of the opposition NDC's National Congress.
Meanwhile, Nana Obiri Boahen has rendered an unqualified apology to his party members for his unsavoury comments in a leaked audio that went viral last Tuesday.
He in the said audio made damning revelations to an NDC activist about how the Presidency gifted the New Patriotic Party GHC50 billion in support of the organisation of the party’s 2017 National Annual Delegates Conference held at Cape Coast last August and also, how he has been unfairly treated as an official of the governing party while his colleagues are supposedly 'grabbing' and making gains from the party’s incumbency.
Following the revelations made by Obiri Boahen, the governing party dragged the embattled Deputy General Secretary to the party’s Steering Committee and further issued a press statement insisting the claims are ‘baseless’ and ‘palpable’ falsehood.
