Even before police conclude their investigations and determine who the killers of the late Sergeant George Boakye with the Ghana Armed Forces formally attached to the Flagstaff House, maverick politician Kennedy Agyapong is dropping names.
According to him, a notorious land guard who has been terrorizing residents of Borteyman, near Adenta in the Greater Accra region identified ‘Bortey Disco’ cannot absolve himself of the dastardly act.
The deceased was in January shot to death by suspected robbers who tried snatching his Toyota Landcruiser vehicle with registration number CR 1341-15 at Community 19 near the Accra Abattoir.
According to a police account, they had received earlier information that the said vehicle was involved in an accident at Community 19 Bridge.
But preliminary investigations after visiting the scene revealed that, the vehicle was snatched from the owner at Community 19 near the Accra Abattoir area by armed robbers and in the process, he was shot several times and was rushed to the 37 Military hospital by good Samaritans where he died whiles receiving treatment.
But Mr Agyapong on Boiling Point claimed that Bortey Disco is responsible for the death of the soldier
“This notorious land guard is behind the killing of a military officer who was attached to the Flagstaff House, the seat of government.”
“There is a place in Borteyman and when you go there, all that you can see is a human skeleton and you can’t move without stepping on the skeleton. This Bortey Disco guy kill people and take their land and leave their bodies to decompose in the area,” he claimed.
“What struck me the other day was that I was there when a military man who has a house in Borteyman came to me and during our conversation he told me that he was relocating to Burma Camp because this ‘Bortey Disco’ guy came to him and warned him to be careful else he will end his life. He said the guy told him that he knows where his daughter attends school and went to the extent of showing the picture of the military man to him,” he revealed.
