The accident scene
Two people have been confirmed dead on the spot, with several others injured after a blue Benz bus with registration number NR 79 Q carrying passengers from Tamale to Salaga was involved in a gory accident about a kilometre from Kpalbisi, MYNEWSGH.com can report.
According to an eyewitness who was on board the bus, the driver was speeding and all efforts to get him to slow down proved futile.
“We told him the road is not good he should slow down but he ignored us and continued speeding,” he said.
The bodies of deceased persons have been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital for autopsy while the injured are receiving treatment.
The Police are currently at the scene gathering evidence and helping the victims. The Police are also yet to speak officially on the accident and its cause.
