After Kennedy Agyapong made allegations that Anas Aremeyaw Anas had something to do with the wife of late J.B Danquah, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has responded to the allegations and made things clear.

Kennedy Agyapong had said in an outburst during an interview on Asempa Fm on Monday, that the two were connected in a way but failed to give further details.

“If he dares me, I will ask him if he knows Ivy, JB’s wife, and for how long…I will show him pictures from UK and Dubai…I am challenging Anas…,” he said on the show while questioning the style of investigations of the journalist.

But Mr Kweku Baako on Wednesday’s edition of Peace FM’s Kokorokoo admitted that Anas and Ivy Danquah-Adu were former schoolmates at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and knew each other for some time but denied any other relationship above being platonic.

“There is another which I find difficult but I must say…there is even an attempt to link Anas to the wife of the J.B Danquah and you ask what the consequence of that linkage is? First of all, they were schoolmates from GIJ hope you know about it? There is a talk of a London that he might have traveled with the lady. No! Akwesi Sarpong from BBC who is a mate to Anas all congregated because they met at the same place,” he said.

Mr Baako also denied claims that a video had been done for Mahama boys but was not aired describing it as a fallacy.

“There was no such video, none,” he stressed challenging whoever has a contrary evidence to provide it or remain mute.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest investigative piece, Number 12, will air on June 6. The piece seeks to reveal the rot in the sporting sector in Ghana.
