An American citizen has been found dead in his room at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
Norman Sun Harris, 65, was found dead by the management of Boti falls Thursday morning.
Public Relations Officer for the Eastern Regional Police Command DSP Ebenezer Tetteh confirmed to Starrfmonline.com that the deceased was in the region to construct a canopy walk at the resort.
Reports indicate that Sun Harris fell ill on Tuesday and went to the Koforidua Government Hospital for treatment.
Management of the Boti Falls who had gone to his resort to check on him found him dead on his bed.
DSP Tetteh has, however, ruled out murder for now after checks on the body revealed there were no marks to indicate that he was murdered.
DSP Tetteh further said that the body has been moved to be preserved at the Koforidua Regional Hospital to be later conveyed to the Police Hospital in Accra for autopsy.
He added that the American Embassy in Accra has also been informed of the death of their citizen.
