Political Science students who fail a University of Ghana course of Prof Gyampo will see it in their results, no matter what, even if they are his relatives.

Readers of MyNewsGH.com will recall how the senior lecturer at the University of Ghana Political Science department, and now boss of the Institute for Economic Affairs (IEA) Professor Ransford Van Gyampo was accused of allegedly giving out grades to failed female students in exchange for sex in his office, an allegation which has been proven to be false and without merit.

The allegation which went viral was made by one Ben Kwaku Andrew on Facebook but subsequently, the accuser apologized to Prof. Gyampo, and withdrew, confessing he peddled falsehood.

Prof Gyampo appearing on Starr Chat with Bola Ray monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Wednesday, speaking to the issue explained why he thinks he is being made a target of the malicious allegation, asserting yet again, that he doesn’t do asex for grades’.

According to him, he even failed his two nieces who were his students.

Explaining the source of that smear campaign against him, he said:“I had criticized a political party and they felt putting sexual allegations on me was a way of shutting me up.” he told Bola Ray.

“I’ve always said that, the worst a politician can do is kill me but even with that ,I’m not scared to die.” he added.

Earlier, when the allegations came up, he had the following to say,'In my 13 years teaching here at University of Ghana, nobody has raised that allegation against me,but the attempts to always silence the voice of reason within the body politics does not work with people like me. I am resolved, I will do my best for mother Ghana and I will continue to speak my mind at all times,” Prof. Gyampo had said.
