Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson, Minister for Special Initiatives
Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson, the Minister for Special Initiatives and Development, has called on parents to place high priority in the education of their children.
The minister, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, said education is the only property that can be given to our children and this is unlike investing in properties which can result in family disputes.
She said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during the third graduation ceremony of Young Executive School (YES) based in Kasoa Opeikumah junction on Saturday.
Mr Francis Essel Okyeahene, the Director of YES, urged parents to prevent their children from watching television as they are on holidays but rather monitor them learn and help them revise their notes.
