Head Coach of Aduana Stars Kenichi Yatsuhashi has lamented over the chances missed in his sides defeat to Ivorian giants Asec Mimosa in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Ghanaian Champions were beaten 2-0 at home- the first time in their continental campaign- by the Ivorians thanks to first-half goals from Gbagnon Anicet Badie and Braciano Ta Bi.
Anicet Badie scored from the spot in the 24th minute before Braciano Ta Bi doubled the lead few minutes to halftime.
The home side who were missing 8 of their top players could not recover as they succumbed to their first ever defeat at the Nana Agyeman Badu park in their African campaign.
Kenichi Yatuhashi blames to the defeat to their wastefulness in front of goal.
"We played much better and created a lot of chances which we could have scored. But, I think we had more chances in general but they were able to score two goals and they went away with that," he said in a post-match interview.
Aduana Stars chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the competition have now been dashed with the defeat to Asec Mimosa.
This is, however, the first time the club has reached the group face of the competition.
