Ashanti Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne has indicated that the president of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) Angel Carbonu lied when he said the association was not consulted on the newly introduced Double-Track system.
According to him, all the major stakeholders were duly consulted and that it cannot be true that they were not consulted.
Speaking on Accra based Adom Television and monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Pyne said “ In my school where I teach, that is Anglican Senior High School in Kumasi, we were duly consulted and we even held a seminar on it. I can assure you that all of us were consulted. So Angel Carbonu lied when he said NAGRAT was not consulted” he noted.
According to him, the new system is for the benefit of the entire country and will ensure that the over 180 thousand students that will be churned out as the first batch of the free SHS Policy access good quality tertiary education.
