Thomas Partey will captain the Black Stars in the AFCON 2019 clash against Kenya on Saturday.
Reports went widespread in the media that the Atletico Madrid enforcer will be stripped of the captaincy following the return of Kwadwo Asamoah in the team's fold.
However, reports reaching GHANASoccernet.com indicate that the 24-year-old will continue to captain the team for the match against the Harambee Stars.
The former Tema Youth midfielder had led Ghana in the friendly with Japan in May this year as well in the game against Iceland in June.
