Kevin-Prince Boateng continued his fine form in Italy by scoring for Sassuolo in the Serie A while Johnathan Opoku Agyemang scored in the Dutch top-flight.

There were goals for Frank Acheampong in China, former Asante Kotoko striker Latif Amadu, Reuben Ayarna, Emmanuel Boateng in USA, John Antwi and Bernard Tekpetey.

Eddie Nketiah scored for Arsenal U23, Nana Ampomah in Belgium, Andy Yiadom in England, Kadri Mohammed in Russia, Inaki Williams in the La Liga, Emmanuel Mensah, Ishmael Baidu, Thomas Agyepong while others also scored.

Elvis Manu was on target against Galatasaray.

Striker Raphael Dwamena was dropped once again for Levante for their La Liga game while Daniel Amartey impressed for Leicester City.

ENGLAND

Jordan Ayew started for Crystal Palace in their 0-0 draw with Newcastle United at the Selhurst Park but Jeffrey Schlupp was unused while Christian Atsu came off the bench in the second-half to play for the Magpies.

Leicester City fought from behind to win 3-1 against Huddersfield Town. Daniel Amartey played as a lateral defender for the winners but German-born Collin Quanor missed the game for Huddersfield with a knock.

Both Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Denis Odoi played for Fulham in their 1-1 draw with Watford in the Premier League’s early kick off on Saturday.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah played 68 minutes for Aston Villa when they lost 2-1 against Sheffield Wednesday.

Ghana defender Andy Yiadom set up a goal and scored one himself for Reading as they posted a 3-0 win over visiting Hull City.

Norwegian-Ghanaian Alexander Tettey skippered Norwich City to a 1-0 away win at QPR.

Striker Kwasi Appiah was not part of the Wimbledon side that suffered a 2-1 loss at Accrington Stanley.

In other games Joe Doodo warmed the bench for Blackpool in their 0-0 draw with Luton Town.

Former Crystal Palace player Hiram Boateng played for Exeter City in their 3-1 win over Cheltenham.

Former Watford player Bernard Mensah came off the bench to play for Lincoln City in their 2-1 win over Milton Keynes Dons.

In the National League, former Crystal Palace youth team player Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong starred for Aldershot in their 2-0 win over Dover Rovers. Former Chelsea player Nii Nortey Nortei played for the losers.

Both Nana Owusu and Harold Odametey played for Maidenhead in their 2-0 away defeat to Barrow.

Ex-Chelsea defender Nana Ofori-Twumasi watched from the Maidestone bench as they won 1-0 at Braintree.

Leyton Orient won 3-0 at Harrogate and former Stoke City youth team player James Alabi came off the bench to play for the winners.

Ghanaian Edward Nketiah set up a goal and scored twice himself to help Arsenal U23 consign Liverpool U23 to a 4-0 defeat in the Premier League 2 on Friday.

In other games Chelsea picked a 2-1 win at West Ham United. Sean Adarkwa played 90 minutes for the Hammers while Tariq Lamptey featured for Chelsea with Richard Nartey warming the bench. Goalkeeper Joseph Anang did not make the West Ham squad for the game.

In the U18 Premier League, 17-year-old defender Yeboah Amankwah who fails from Berekum, played 65 minutes for Manchester City in their 3-0 home loss to Everton.

Young defender Jed Abbey came off the Wolves bench to play in their 4-0 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday.

Joseph Anang was in post for West Ham United when Tottenham Hotspur disgraced them 9-0. Keenan Appiah-Forson also played for the young Hammers.

Fulham suffered a 3-1 loss at Leicester City. And, both Cameron Antwi and Zico Asare played for Fulham while Dennis Gyamfi played at lateral defence for Leicester but his brother Johnson Gyamfi could not get playing time in midfield for Leicester.

Kwame Ampadu managed Arsenal to claim a 5-1 win over Norwich City. Aaron Akyeampong-Ekumah was unused by Norwich.

Lynford Sackey came off the Reading bench to play in their painful 1-0 home loss to Swansea City.

16-year-old defender Harold Essien could not make the Middlesbrough squad for their 1-1 home draw with Sunderland.

ITALY

Kevin-Prince Boateng inspired Sassuolo’s 3-1 come-from-behind win over Empoli in the Serie A on Friday by scoring a sleek equaliser. Joseph Alfred Duncan played 90 minutes while Boateng was replaced in the 62nd minute at the Città del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia. Claud Adjapong was unused by the hosts while Afriyie Acquah suffered injury and was replaced on the 14th minute mark.

Kwadwo Asamoah perpetuated his sparkling form for Inter Milan who won 1-0 at Sampdoria on Saturday.

Injured Godfred Donsah watched from the stands as his Bologna side defeated AS Roma 2-0.

Central defender Nicholas Opoku was a bench warmer for Udinese who travelled to beat Chievo Verona 2-0. Injured Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu warmed the bench.

Yussif Raman Chibsah played in midfield for Frosinone when Juventus defeated them 2-0 with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the opening goal in the 81st minute.

In the Serie B, Benevento posted a 4-0 win over Salernitana. Ghanaians Bright Gyamfi and Moses Odjer warmed the benches of Benevento and Salernitana respectively.

Emmanuel Gyasi was introduced in the second-half by Spezia who claimed a 1-0 win over Cittadella on Saturday.

In the Serie C, Davis Mensah played for Triestina when they lost 2-1 at Rimini. But, Ghanaian Stephen Danso, on loan from Inter Milan, warmed the bench for Rimini.

Ghanaian Mawuli Eklu warmed the bench for Catanzaro in their 1-0 away loss to Rende.

In the Primavera, Ghanaians Elimelech Enyan and Richard Amoo were in the Chievo Verona team that lost 2-0 at Sassuolo.

In the U17 League, Ghanaian pair of Danies Fosu and Brian Oddei played for Sassuolo in their 2-0 loss at Parma.

NETHERLANDS

Dutch-born Johnathan Opoku Agyemang scored the opening goal for VVV Venlo in their 3-0 win over 10-man NAC Breda. Opoku was replaced in the 88th minute.

Robin Polley warmed the bench for ADO Den Haag in their 1-1 draw with Vitesse Arnhem.

Myron Boadu missed AZ Alkmaar’s 3-1 away win over FC Groningen with ankle injury.

Heracles hammered 10-man De Graafschap 4-0. Former Ajax Amsterdam you team player Leeroy Owusu played full throttle for the losers who also had Surinamese-Ghanaian Myenty Abena in their team.

In the second-tier league, Samuel Brobbey and Kevin Luckassen warmed the bench of Almere City in their 4-1 win over Den Bosch.

Jong PSV posted a 1-0 win over FC Volendam and Ghanaian Cody Gakpo scored the only goal of the game for the winners while youngster Rodney Antwi warmed the bench for the losers.

Kumasi-born Portugal youth international Asumah Abubakar played 59 minutes for Maastricht in their 2-1 win over Dordrecht.

ALBANIA

Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Mensah scored for Partizani Tirana in their 2-0 win over Flamurtari in the top-flight on Friday.

Former Asante Kotoko forward Latif Amadu played and scored the consolation goal for Teuta in their 3-1 away loss against Luftetari Gjirokastra.

ARMENIA

Ghanaian youngster Nana Kwame Antwi was sent off in the 61st minute while in action for Lori in their 2-1 loss to Alashkert in the top-flight.

AUSTRIA

Seth Paintsil scored in the 20th minute for Admira to help them win 3-1 at Wacker Innsbruck on Sunday in the Bundesliga.

Injured Samuel Tetteh did not make the trip with LASK Linz for their 3-0 away win over Austria Vienna.

In the second-tier league Ghanaian Paul Mensah started and finished the game for Kapfenberg who suffered a 2-0 home loss against BW Linz.

Former WAFA defender Kennedy Boateng played for Ried in their 2-1 home loss to FK Austria Vienna Amateur side.

In other games Wattens claimed a 2-0 away win over Vorwarts Steyr. Striker Felix Adjei starred for the winners while Italian-born Ghanaian Kelvin Yeboah warmed the bench of the winners.



BELGIUM

Bennard Kumordzi missed Kortrijk’s 2-0 win at Zulte-Waregem in the Pro League on Friday.

Ghanaian pair of Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Paintsil played for Genk in their 5-2 away win over Cercle Brugge KSV on Sunday.

Winger Nana Opoku Ampomah scored the equaliser for Waasland in their 1-1 draw with 9-man Charleroi.

Standard Liege suffered a 2-1 loss against Anderlecht. Belgian-born Ghanaian youngster Francis Amuzu played for Anderlecht while Dennis Appiah was dropped to the bench with Dauda Mohammed also missing out of the squad with injury.

Gent suffered their second straight defeat of the season after losing 4-0 to Club Brugge. Nana Akwasi Asare captained Gent in the game.

Offensive midfielder Eric Ocansey played for KAS Eupen in their 2-1 home loss to KV Oostende. Ghana U20 goalkeeper Abdul Manaf failed to make the Eupen squad for the game.

Daniel Opare reclaimed his starting spot in the Antwerp team but was replaced in the 73rd minute as they lost 2-0 to St Truiden. Striker William Owusu Acheampong played 90 minutes for them. Samuel Asamoah flourished in the midfield and helped his side to that impressive win.

In the lower-tier league, former Manchester City player Divine Naah was in action for 10-man Tubize when they lost 2-0 to St Gilloise.

BELARUS

Former Black Stars B striker Joel Fameyeh warmed the bench for Dinamo Brest in their 1-0 away win over Vitebsk.

Former Asante Kotoko player Gideon Baah was in action for Gomel when they lost 1-0 at Zhodino.

Ghanaian Seidu Yahaya played for Dinamo Minsk in their 3-2 win over Luch Minsk on Sunday.

FRANCE

Nantes’ poor start to life in the Ligue 1 continued after losing 2-1 at Lille on Saturday. Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris played 90 minutes for Nantes.

Former Ghana U20 defender Emmanuel Ntim could not make the grades for Valenciennes in their 4-1 home win over Red Star.

Olympique Lyon loanee Elisha Owusu starred in midfield for Sochaux who suffered a 1-0 loss to Orleans. Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi warmed the bench the Sochaux bench.

Attacker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to play the last 8 minutes of regulation time for Le Havre in their 1-1 home draw with Troyes.

On Saturday John Boye was in action for Metz who suffered their first defeat of the season after losing 2-1 to ten-man FC Paris.

EGYPT

Ghanaian striker John Antwi missed from the penalty spot but scored the match-winner for Misr Elmaqasah in their 2-1 win over El-Entag El-Harby.

FINLAND

Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Anann came off the bench to play for HJK Helsinki in theiir 3-0 home win over Rovaniemi in the top-flight league on Friday. Evans Mensah was not in the HJK squad for the game.

GERMANY

Ghana-pursuit Derrick Luckassen came off the Hertha Berlin bench in the 87th minute to play in their 4-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Austrian-Ghanaian Kevin Danso warmed the bench for Augsburg in their 3-2 home loss to Werder Bremen.

Injured Kasim Nuhu watched Hoffenheim’s 1-1 draw with 10-man Dortmund from the stands at the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar Arena where 30,000 fans watched the game.

Issah Abass could not make the Mainz 06 squad for their 1-0 away loss at Bayer Leverkusen.

German-Ghanaian defender Jerome Boateng was dropped to the Bayern Munich bench for their 2-0 win at Schalke 04.

In the Bundesliga II, St Pauli emerged 1-0 victors against Ingolstadt. Ghanaian Agyemang Diawusie warmed the bench for the losers while Ghanaian Chris Avevor played the entire game for Pauli.

David Atanga played 69 minutes for Greuther Furth in their 2-0 defeat at 1. FC Heidenheim on Saturday.

Bernard Tekpetey perpetuated his scoring run after scoring for Paderborn in their 4-4 draw with FC Magdeburg. Chris Antwi-Adjei also played for the home side.

Prince Owusu came off the bench to play for Arminia Bielefeld in their 1-1 draw with Union Berlin on Saturday.

Holstein Kiel and Bochum shared the spoils in a 2-2 drawn game. German-born Ghanaian Noah Awuku warmed the Kiel bench but Jans Gyamerah played 90 minutes for the visitors.

Erich Berko was a second-half substitute by Dynamo Dresden who won heavily against Darmstadt after beating them 4-1.

Australian-born Ghanaian Kwame Yeboah was booked in the first-half and played for Fortuna Koln in their win over Lotte on Saturday in the third-tier league.

36-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Gordon Addai played 70 minutes for Bonner in their 2-0 home loss to SC Wiedenbrück.

Duo Philip Aboagye and Maxwell Gyamfi both played for Bochum in their 3-0 home loss against Borussia Monchengladbach.

ROMANIA

Sepsi fought from behind to draw 1-1 with Voluntari in the top-flight league on Friday. Ghanaians Joseph Mensah and Richard Gadze both came off the bench to play for Sepsi and Voluntari respectively.

Ex-Dreams FC attacker Lawson Bekui warmed the bench for Poli Lasi in their 1-0 win over Din. Bucuresti.

Defender Isaac Donkor played 90 minutes for U Craiova 1948 CS and helped them to beat FC Viitorul 2-0.

QATAR

Ghanaian pair of Lawrence Quaye and Mohammed Kasola played for Umm-Salal in their 2-1 win over Al-Kharitiyath.

Ghanaians John Benson and Seddiqi Babo played for Al Ahli Doha in their 4-2 loss at Al Sailiya. Kwasi George played for the winners.

Kumasi-born Mohammed Muntari warmed the bench for Al Duhail in their 4-2 win over Al-Gharafa on Saturday.

SERBIA

Ghanaian Samuel Owusu played for Cukaricki in their 3-1 win over Spartak Subotica. Samuel Afum could not make the trip with Subotica.

Zilina made mockery of Senica after thrashing them 5-0 on Saturday. And, Ghanaian defender Benson Anang scored for Zilina and played 90 minutes. Patrick Asmah also played for the losers.

Dutch-born Mitch Apau was in action for Slovan Bratislava in their 2-1 win over Sered.

Osman Bukari came off the bench to play for Trencin in their 1-0 win over Z. Moravce.

SLOVENIA

Eric Boakye warmed the bench for NK Olimpija Ljubljana who beat Aluminij 3-1.

Dickson Afoakwa played for Triglav in their 2-1 loss against Rudar.

Levante were consigned to a humiliating 6-2 home defeat by Sevilla and Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng came off the bench to play for them but Raphael Dwamena was dropped from the first team.

Thomas Partey came off the Atletico Madrid bench to play in their 2-0 away win at Getafe on Saturday.

Gijon suffered a 1-0 loss at Osasuna in the second-tier league and Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie warmed the bench for Gijon.

Iddrisu Baba warmed the bench for Real Mallorca in their 3-1 home defeat to Albacete.

CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

BULGARIA

Ishmael Baidu scored an 18th minute opener for Septemvri Sofia who surrendered their lead to lose 3-1 against Lok. Plovdiv in the top-flight league on Saturday.

Ghana winger Edwin Gyasi assisted the second goal for CSKA Sofia in their 2-0 away win over Botev Vratsa to send them top of the table.

Former Ghana U20 midfielder Derrick Mensah warmed the bench for Dunav Ruse when they drew 1-1 with Vereya. Michael Tawiah played for Vereya.

CROATIA

Lokomotiv Zagreb claimed a 2-0 win over Rijeka. Ghanaian Maxwell Boadu did not make the trip with the losers.

Former Wa All Stars player Nasiru Moro warmed the bench for Gorica in their 1-0 away win over Osijek.

Obeng Regan played in midfield for Istra 1961 who lost 4-2 against Hajduk Split. There was no Said Ahmed Said in the Split squad for the game.

Striker Benjamin Tetteh scored a brace to power Sparta Prague to a 4-1 win over Slovan Liberec.

22-year-old Emmanuel Antwi played for Pribram in their 4-1 loss at Karvina on Saturday.

Sharani Zuberu played for the Sparta Prague U19 side in their 2-1 away win at FC Fastav Zlin U19.

FINLAND

Reuben Ayarna scored the equaliser for KuPS in their 1-1 draw with Honka on Saturday.

In the second-tier league, Samba Sillah watched from the Jaro bench in their 1-0 away win over AC Kajaani.

MALTA

Former Fiorentina defender Nii Nortey Ashong played for Sleima and helped them to a 2-0 away win over St. Andrews in the Premier League.

NORWAY

Odd posted a 3-2 win over Valerenga in the Eliteserien on Saturday and Ghanaian pair of Adam Kwarasey and Mohammed Abu played for the losers.

RUSSIA

Kadri Mohammed scored for Arsenal Tula and played 90 minutes in their 2-2 draw with Rubin Kazan.

Aziz Tetteh played for Dinamo Moscow but he could not help them avoid a 1-0 home loss against Anzhi who also had Ghanaian Rabiu Mohammed playing 90 minutes.

SCOTLAND

Thomas Agyepong came off the bench to score for Hibernian when they emerged 3-0 winners over Dundee FC.

SOUTH AFRICA

Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Darpoh warmed the bench for AmaZulu in their 2-0 loss at Kaizer Chiefs in the ABSA Premier League.

Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori was in post for Maritzburg United in their 1-0 win at Bloem Celtic.

SWEDEN

Samuel Mensiro scored a late finish for Ostersunds in a 1-0 win over Sirus. Frank Arhin was unused but Patrick Kpozo came off the bench to play for the winners.

USA

Latif Blessing played full time and helped Los Angeles FC to a 2-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes. Ghanaian Dominic Oduro warmed the bench for San Jose Earthquakes.

Columbus Crew managed a 2-1 win over Colorado Rapids. Ghanaian pair of Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful played for Crew while Lalas Abubakar was unused by the hosts. Edward Opoku could not make the squad. Bismark Adjei-Boateng came off the bench to play for Rapids.

Ebenezer Ofori was dropped to the bench by New York City FC who earned a point at Montreal Impact after drawing 1-1. He was introduced in the second-half.

Chicago Fire held New England to a 2-2 draw on Saturday night and Dutch-born Ghanaian Johan Kappelhof partnered Bastien Schweinsteiger in central defence for Fire.

Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako helped Phoenix Rising to beat Colorado Springs 2-1 and move second.

Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong scored from the spot for Tianjin Teda in their 2-2 draw with Beijing Renhe. He was replaced in the 88th minute.

CYPRUS

Former Atletico Madrid B midfielder Benjamin Akoto Asamoah played and helped Doxa to a 5-2 win over APOEL.

DENMARK

Nordsjaelland slipped to a 2-1 loss at FC Copenhagen on Sunday. Ghanaian Godsway Donyoh played for Nordsjaelland while Kudus Mohammed came off the bench to play for the losers while Mumin Abubakar was unused but Clinton Antwi and Sadiq Ibrahim were not in the squad for the game.

Collins Tanor and Yaw Amankwaah warmed the bench for Hobro when Aalborg hammered them 5-0.

NORWAY

Ibrahim Arafat Mensah warmed the bench for IK Start in their 2-1 away win over Bodo/Glimt. Isaac Twum did not make the squad for Start.

Paul Ayongo came off the bench to score for Ferrerira to win 3-0 against Covilha.
