The Catholic Bishop of Sekondi-Takoradi Archdiocese, Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie, has lashed out at the educated class of the Ghanaian society describing most of them as corrupt beyond comprehension.
“I will like to call your attention to something I have found. I will say in this country, most of our educated people turn to be more corrupt than the uneducated ones”. Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie said this during the launching ceremony of the Association of Catholic Teachers (ACT) held in Kumasi last weekend.
According to him, one does not need any analytical tool to ascertain the veracity of his statement.
Though public and civil services, the security services, businessmen and women, political offices are being headed by educated people and Christians, corruption is still on the ascendancy.
“We have found out how corrupt our country is, and it’s still becoming”. He noted
Most Rev. John Kwofie emphasized that in the national political history when someone with less formal education appears on political scene vying for the highest office of the land there is a question of how such a person be the president.
