This week's edition of Newsfile promises to be an engaging one as Host Samson Lardy Anyenini and his guests dissect pressing issues that made headlines.

Government's pledge to reduce unemployment was given a major boost this week with the launch of one of its major strategies, the Nation Builders' Corps (NaBCo).

Over 100, 000 graduates who were hitherto unemployed have been enrolled under 7 modules of the scheme which is expected to equip, train and nurture the graduates over a three year period.

Opposition NDC has referred to it as a waste of resources which could have been used for something more beneficial than the NaBCo and also criticised the GHC700 stipend as inadequate.

A JoyNews investigation released this week revealed how the Former President John Mahama and his government diverted part of a loan to sponsor a party research to evaluate their chances ahead of the 2016 elections.

The diverted cash was to go into provision of health infrastructure and improving its quality but the party used it for political purposes.

The party has distanced itself from the report indicating it did not officially sanction the research even though some leading members have admitted knowing about it before the election.

After months of putting up consistent fight against what it believed was a deal fraught with 'fraud' and which deprived the nation of 'value for money' IMANI Ghana led by its President Franklin Cudjoe has withdrawn all of its suit against the Ministry of Communications and Government over the KelniGVG deal.

Details of the motive for the recent action is scanty, however, Franklin Cudjoe has dispelled the notion of underhand dealings or intimidation from some persons.

These and many more issues that trended during the week will be discussed by the panel on Newsfile today.
