Former Asante Kotoko coach, Michael Osei has called on Ghanaian football stakeholders to give the Ghana FA Normalisation Committee ample time to complete what he termed to ensure sanity in the local game.

FIFA in September this year appointed the four-member committee to restore Ghana football to its normalcy after the airing of the investigative piece by Anas Aremayaw Anas’ video which has unravelled the rot in Ghana football.

The committee has been given a mandate to review the GFA Statutes, and conduct fresh elections for the Executive Committee and Presidency of the Association and also do a forensic audit of the GFA accounts.

But according to the assistant coach of the Black Meteors, he sometimes sympathises with the four-member committee, looking at the job Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has assigned them to perform for a period of six months.

“I entreat everyone to be patient with the Normalisation Committee,” he told GraphicSports

“The work is a difficult task and it will take some time for the committee to complete it. I believe the six months it too short.

“Ghana football went bad so the committee needs more time to be able to address the issues and make things better.”

However, the former Star Madrid gaffer advised the Normalisation Committee to speed up its work to avoid unnecessary pressure.

“I entreat them (Normalisation Committee) to work faster to avoid being pressured by the public, which may cause them to lose focus in their line of work”.
