The Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service has deployed some 400 personnel to maintain calm and orderliness on major roads in the capital city during the Christmas season.

According to MTTD Central Commander, ACP Anderson Fosu-Ackah, the deployed MTTD officers will be visible at hotspots in Accra to clamp down on criminal activities.

In an interview with Class91.3FM’s Jerry Akornor on Monday, 17 December 2018, ACP Fosu-Ackah said offenders will not be left off the hook.

“We have deployed personnel to all the major roads in Accra to manage the traffic,” he noted.

He said the police officers will be stationed from 6am to 8pm each day to ensure free flow of traffic within the metropolis.
