Sports Minister impressed with on-going Ashanti Region Sports complex

Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has inspected one of the (ten) Youth and Sports Resource Centers that are at various stages of completion.

The Minister travelled to the Ashanti Region on Monday to inspect the ongoing construction of Youth and Sports center with his team of inspection. Among them was CEO of the National Youth Authority(NYA), National Sports Authority (NSA) Director General, Chiefs and elders of Nyinahin.

The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency after accessing the facility, he expressed his happiness with regards to the project and work done.

"So far works here are progressing and with my team, we are all happy to see on-site workers working".

"So far so good, the quality of work is great and am proud of the quality I have seen here. We are on course, hoping that we meet the commission timeline we have been given", he told the press.

Hon. Asiamah added that the purpose of the center will serve as job creation for the youth and enhance sports in the District, region and Ghana at large.

" So it's good, CEO of National Youth Authority (NYA), National Sports Authority (NSA) and everyone is happy with work done so far".

"This Youth and Sports Center for Excellence will promote and enhance Youth in Nyinahin and Ashanti Region at large through Sports development, with these facilities".

"Sports is a medium for job creation, through this we can get jobs for the youth", he affirmed.

The facility will host 25-sporting disciplines with hostel facilities. The others are the Youth Counseling Centre, modern restaurant, a gym and ICT Resource Centre.
