Nyamekye and Friends donate to Addo Nkwanta

The people of Addo Nkwanta have hailed Nyamekye and Friends for their memorable donation to the village almost a month ago

The group which is dedicated to creating smiles on the faces of people came to the aid of the people on Boxing Day when they donated numerous items to the natives Addo Nkwanta, a village in the Akuapim South District, Eastern Region.

The inhabitants of the town who came out on the day left with smiles after their lives were changed. Those who came barefooted ended up going home with shoes or sandals whiles those who came with thorn clothes ended up going home with good clothes to wear, students were not left out as they were given enough books to help them read and write.

The affectionate moment was when the team donated items such as bags of rice, oil, washing detergents, soaps, toiletries and other valuable items.

In an interaction with some of the beneficiaries, they expressed their excitement to the team for making a long journey just to come to their aid when all have forgotten about them. According to the commuters who have a very bad road and poor water bodies accompanied with less electricity to other parts of the town the warm gesture is a sign that although the government has forgotten about them, Ghanaians have them in mind. They prayed on God’s guidance and restoration of every investment to the group.

According to Attakorah Amaniampong Nyamekye, the initiator of the project, he was overwhelmed at the outcome of the visit, he retorted that although he expected smiles he never dreamt the event would go a long way to transform the lives of the people.

Attakorah Nyamekye expressed a heart of gratitude to friends who donated their time and effort to making the project a success.

The team also visited and donated items to the Akuapem Nifa Divisional Council ahead of the Odwira Festival. The chief Ahunuabobrim Osudumgya Otutu and his queen mother Owoabrempong Abena respectively welcomed them and thanked them for reaching out to the least privileged of the town.

Nyamekye and Friends Foundation collaborated with Save My world Foundation to put up the memorable event which put smiles on the faces of children and adults who have been neglected by the society and find it difficult go make ends meet during the festive season.
