Asante Kotoko coach CK Akonnor is keen on improving his defending ahead of their clash with ZESCO United on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors’ gaffer has stated the technical team is working earnestly to solve the defensive errors in his team before the encounter.
Speaking to the official club’s website, Akonnor admitted spotting a few defensive errors in his side in the game against Al Hilal, and also revealed the technical bench is working to get it solved before Wednesday’s crunch encounter.
“It is about talking to the players, exercising and practicing on the ways we can defend well.
“Most of them are individual errors which we can easily correct by getting the lads to play as a team and defend very well and as a unit when off the ball,” he said.
The Porcupine Warriors conceded a goal in their round one game with Kariobangi Sharks, conceded 3 against Coton Sport in the play off, in both legs and also let in one against Al Hilal in Sudan a week ago.
The flow has been a worry to Akonnor but he’s hopeful his boys will improve.
Kotoko will face Zesco on Wednesday February 13th at the Baba Yara Stadium.
