The Normalisation Committee has described as false media reports that having a Masters Degere will be used as a criteria in vetting candidates for the Ghana Football Association presidential race.
The fake news has sparked debates on sports programmes of some radio stations in the country.
Economist and former Hearts of Oak management member Farouk Al Wahab went ballistic on the issue and said it would have been nonsensical if implement.
But clarification has come in from the spokesperson of the Normalisation Committee Dan Kwaku Yeboah.
''It’s not true. The committee has not set any criteria of that sort. We don’t know where those reports are coming from,'' Yeboah is quoted by FootballMadeInGhana
''Wherever those reports are coming from, I don’t know but what I know is that they aren’t coming from the NC.
''In any case, if the reports are attributed to any of the ad-hoc committees, that will be strange because none of those committees is supposed to set a criteria for the governance of the FA.''
