AFC Wimbledon striker Kwesi Appiah has made a surprise return to the Black Stars after being out of the team for four years.
Appiah has been included in coach Kwesi Appiah's 24-man squad for the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Accra on March 23.
The 28-year-old was invited into the team by erstwhile manager Avram Grant for the 2015 Afcon. Appiah excelled at the tournament, making four appearances and scoring a goal as Ghana finished second.
Since then, Appiah has been overlooked largely due to recurring injuries.
However, Appiah has been called up after returning to best form this season in the English third-tier. He has featured prominently for Wimbledon, scoring five goals.
He will be expected to start in the dead rubber match.
