Police arrests woman who threw her 8-month-old baby in a river

A 32-year-old woman, Abena Atta, who murdered her eight-month-old daughter, Paulina Amoah, by throwing her into a river is now in Police grips at Assin Fosu also in the Central Region.

The incident at the Haruna village in the Assin South District has shocked the entire community.

Its not clear if the mother of the baby is mentally stable but the Police says she will be arraigned before court soon after investigations.

The baby’s body which has been recovered us at the morgue.

Police in the Central region have also detained four suspects for allegedly kidnapping a month old baby.
