Ghanaian defender John Boye was on target for Metz as they defeated GFCO Ajaccio 2-0 away from home in the second tier of French football.
The former Hearts of Lions man broke the deadlock in the 54th minute to put his side into the lead. Niane Inrahima in the 76th minute doubled the lead for the visitors.
This was John Boye’s first league goal of the season after featuring in 31 league games.
Metz are just four points away from playing in French top flight next season.
