Ghana’s Energy Minister, Mr John Peter Amewu, has assured the residents of Hohoe in the Volta Region that the Akufo-Addo administration will fix all their roads before leaving office after serving his two terms.
Mr Amewu told the residents that the erstwhile Mahama administration failed to provide good roads for them while in office.
Mr Amewu, who accompanied Health Minister Kweku Agyeman-Manu to the Volta Region to pay a courtesy call on the chiefs and traditional leaders of the Gbi Traditional Area as part of a 3-day tour of the area, promised the people that the president will give all their roads the needed facelift.
“We do recognise the deplorable nature of our roads, we have seen it”, Mr Amewu acknowledged, adding: “But we have been in power for only two years”.
“For eight good years, the NDC said they have done the roads but the question is; where are the roads, the unprecedented roads that they have done?
“If the roads were done, we will not be in this condition. But I promise you that under His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, before our two terms of office end successfully, we are going to complete those roads.”
