Controversial Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong is at a loss as to why people still continue to hail former President Jerry John Rawlings who has over time exhibited hypocritical traits.

According to him, the former military ruler who accused some persons of grabbing state property and went ahead to execute them, cannot absolve himself of the same crimes.

He challenged him to prove to the world what exactly the late six army generals including former heads of state who were executed under watch stole from the state to warrant such a treatment.

“If you wake up then you start hailing Rawlings…ask him who owns all the GNTC stores. The GNTC stores at Kanda who does it belong to? Ask Rawlings for me. Can he prove to the country the state property that Felli, Acheampong and the others stole which warranted their execution? Can he compare what he has taken from the state to what he claimed these individuals allegedly took”, he quizzed during an interview with an online radio station in Holland monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong who has vowed never to forgive the NDC founder, is on record to have cursed former President Jerry John Rawlings praying that he will suffer before his death revealing further why he is convinced he can never forgive the former Head of State.

“Just take a look at Rawlings; today, he shakes when standing. Rawlings will suffer to glorify God; he will suffer to glorify God”, the Member of Parliament said.

“Rawlings supervised the burning of Ghana cedis and that was the beginning of my mother’s hypertension. If I knew my mother was going to be struck by a hypertension of a future Ghana we will not hear…Corruption! Today what do we see? President Kufuor on assumption of office healed the country but that does not mean that if someone knows something the person cannot voice it”, he added.
