GSE slumps in another poor performance

Accra, March 4, GNA - The main benchmark of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slumped in trading on Friday in another poor performance as the bourse reels under bearish sentiments.

The GSE All-Share Index closed down by 56.57 points to 6,680.64 points from 6,737.21 points.


Change for the year was also poorer at -1.73 per cent from - 0.90 per cent on Wednesday.


There were two price changes, both negative.


Aluworks Limited continued its dismal performance with a 250-cedi loss at 6,000 cedis and Produce Buying Company (PBC) also closed lower by 300 cedis at 3,300 cedis.


Shares traded closed slightly lower at 1,262,400 shares from 1.460 million shares with PBC selling one million shares. Market capitalisation closed lower at 97,293.98 billion cedis.
