The Deputy Minister for Regional Reorganisation and Development, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah has donated five hospital beds with mattresses to the Techiman Bamiri Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in the Techiman South Constituency of the Bono East Region.

The gesture follows a request made to the Deputy Minister during a visit and interaction with NPP Party faithful within the Bamiri Electoral Area as part of his initiative to touch base with the party’s grassroots.

Municipal Health Director acknowledged the benevolent gesture shown by the Deputy Minister who is also a chief and requested that he helps the community to expand the facility with a female ward to cater for deliveries as both male and females use same room for all health treatment purposes.

Staff of the Ghana Health Service, Nananom from the Bamiri community hailed Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and promised to ensure that the items are used for the intended purpose.

The former Director of Elections who has been critical about the development of the Techiman Municipality, late last year donated a brand new Hyundai EON salon car to the 2018 Best Teacher

The vehicle came along with a five-year warranty and comprehensive insurance within same period aimed at encouraging teachers in the area to give off their best.

According to officials of the Ghana Education Service (GES), the scheme in the last nine years was suspended by the Directorate of education as a result of the unavailability of funds and awards for deserving teachers in the area until his intervention.
