The President of the Economic Fighters League (EFL) a political pressure group Ernesto Yeboah has revealed that the #DropThatChamber soldier Lance Corporal Wassa has been handed a raw deal by the state.
According to him, the embattled soldier needs to be handed a national award and not incarcerated as was done by the Military high command.
Ernesto Yeboah speaking in an interview with Accra based Neat Fm, disclosed that lance corporal Wassa should be celebrated and regarded a national hero.
He added most soldiers in the past did not talk and so he talked to pay the ultimate prize due to the love he has for this country.
The economic freedom fighter insist all the soldier did was to appeal to the commander in chief of the armed forces not to entertain the building of the chamber.
“I think it was the most noble thing for any armed person in this country to do under that circumstance and for that reason he deserves a national award or honor.
“On that basis we presented a petition to the President at the Flagstaff House, God been so God he has been released even before that 90-day period but that’s not what we asked for in the petition.”
“We pleaded for a pardon and a restoration of his rank,,that rank must be restored.”
