Following his blistering start to the CAF Confederation Cup campaign, AshGold striker Shafiwu Mumuni is targeting the goal king gong of the competition.
The skipper guided his side to a wonderful 3-0 win over Akanongui FC of Equatorial Guinea on Saturday with a stupendous hat trick at the Len Clay Stadium.
With the first leg ending 1-1 in Equatorial Guinea a fortnight ago, the Obuasi lads advance with a 4-1 aggregate.
Speaking to Ashh FM, the confident goal poacher who holds three goals after two games set sights on winning the goal king.
“I’m hoping to win the goal king award in the CAF Confederation Cup and I will work towards that,” he said.
The win will see Ashanti Gold progress to the next round where they face last edition’s finalists RS Berkane from Morocco.
