Former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juabeng, Afrifa Yamoah-Ponkoh has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a prevaricator for some comment he made about the country’s press freedom.
Yamoah-Ponkoh in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ courageously tagged the first gentleman of the land as a 'big liar' and was unwilling to take back his words after host Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman requested.
Yamoah-Ponkoh believes the President has done little to ensure press freedom even though President Akufo-Addo has noted that his government is committed to press freedom and given the assurance that strenuous efforts are being made to find the killers of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, the murdered investigative journalist, for them to face justice.
“He [President Nana Addo] is a liar, I am sorry and with all due respect, Nana Addo is a big liar. What has he done to ensure press freedom in this country?” he questioned.
