Asante Kotoko management member, Nana Kwame Dankwah has revealed that, their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), George Amoako has informed management about his intention to contest for a slot on the GFA Executive Council.
George Amoako, who has vast experience in football administration has expressed his readiness to serve on the Executive Council of the country’s football governing body.He was appointed as the CEO of the Porcupine Warriors last year.
He has previously severed as the vice-chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and several top positions at the Ghana FA.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’,Nana Kwame Dankwah,disclosed:
“Our CEO,George Amoako will contest for a slot on the Executive Council in the upcoming elections. Ghana Football needs someone like George who is knowledgeable, experienced who knows a lot about our football to lead us. Someone who can present the interest of Ghana worldwide”- Nana Kwame Dankwah. He will pick up his forms today.”
He is the second football administrator to announced his decision to contest for a slot on the Executive Council after AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer Mr. Frederick Acheampong.
The GFA Executive Council elections are set to be held on October 24.
