“How could he do this after everything we’ve been through together…even despite the amazing children we have?” these are some of the questions women ask themselves after their husbands of many years bow out of the marriage.

This was the dilemma of a Ghanaian woman, whose husband abandoned her and their two children after building 8 years of marriage together.

The regretful, anonymous man, who after 5 years of separation from his family, narrated his story to relationship expert Abena Maggis Manokekame on Facebook.

According to him, he left his wife for his side chic, who was a banker. However, things between them turned sour when she showed him her true colours.

"After five years, life became horrible for me. My banker was no longer interested in me, she made me sleep with her high-class women for money for her. I am now jobless and I wish I can go back and plead with my wife to even let me be part of the children's lives," he added.

Read his full story he narrated below, monitored by Ghanaweb:

"I was married for 8years to my beautiful wife, the woman through whom God blessed me and I let my own foolishness feed me.

One day I packed my belongings and left because my wife became an unattractive, nagging woman to me. I had then met a young woman who works at the bank and she travels in and out for vacation and was my fantasy in life. How it happened only God knows. I didn't care what my wife was doing with my children and thought I was in the better place.

My new girlfriend whom I have disgraced my wife to embraced me with a blind. Life was really good and I didn't care about whatever wife and the children will do. The first 3years was all good, business and new love. I heard my wife has moved on with one man who was playing my role as a father and that one stopped me from checking on them.

After five years, life became horrible for me. My banker was no longer interested in me, she made me sleep with her high-class women for money for her. I am now jobless and I wish I can go back and plead with my wife to even let me be part of the children's lives. I created a fake facebook account and saw that my wife now is doing well. I also made enquiries from her friend and she is now planning to get married in December.

From the enquiries a nobleman saw her attractive and decided to take care of my children and sent my wife to school. Abena she is on your platform and all I'm asking her is for her to allow me see my children," he wrote.

Just few hours after the publication, the ex-wife only identified as "L", not her real name, wrote back her response.

She described the divorce as a blessing in disguise for her and the children. Now happily married to another man, she mentioned that her two kids have denounced their father by changing their surnames.

"Hello my dear ex-husband, This is me L.My best friend whom you called her silly goat, prostitute called me to read your post. I sincerely dont have anything against you, I should be rather thanking you because you made a way for me.

Let me borrow your words honey...through your own (foolishness ) as you stated, I found out that there was nothing wrong with me because I should have used the monies to build and polish up to feed, cloth and educate you. I'm glad after crying for a whole month I picked up myself together. Honey I wasn't crying because you left but because I was fooled by you.

You are indeed good with words and anyone will fall flat babe...Your girl is now in Wesley girls and Fiifi now is in America he left this September. Ooooh you miss it sorry! Give me sometime to prepare their minds before you see them. I PRAY THEY UNDERSTAND AND FORGIVE YOU. But I'm sorry to tell you they have changed their surnames and they did that themselves. God bless and keep you till you meet your children again. Regards to your family."
