Ghanaian female international Portia Boakye has signed a new two-year deal with Swedish outfit Djurgarden IF.
Boakye joined DIF during the 2018 season and quickly made an impression to seal her place in the club's starting eleven.
In 2019, she followed up with continued stable performances and made 19 matches in the OBOS Damallsvenskan where she has been very useful to coach Pierre Fondin through his positional versatility.
Djurgården are currently preparing for the 2020 campaign and as a way boosting and with Portia Boakye's contract running out, the club has succeeded in securing the services of the Ghana winger for another two years.
"We are incredibly proud that Portia has chosen to continue her football career in Djurgårdens IF", New manager Jean Balawo said.
"In Portia we have a skilled player that can be used in several positions.
"There are not many players in Allsvenskan who beat her in 1-on-1 situations both offensively and defensively", Jean summed up.
