..Central Region communities to benefit

Gomoa Potsin (C/R) May 18 GNA- Four communities in the Gomoa District, have been presented with a-21 inch colour TV set each with its accessories at the cost of eight million cedis, to boost the President's Special Initiative On Distance Education.

The beneficiary communities are, Manford, Apam, Gomoa Potsin and Gomoa Dominase.

Presenting the TV for the people of Gomoa Potsin at a ceremony at Potsin the District Chief Executive, Ms Joyce Aidoo expressed optimism that the pupils, teachers and other stakeholders would derived the necessary benefit from the initiative to improve on the standards of education.

The Assemblyman for the area, Mr Prince Charles Abbam who received the items on behalf of the people thanked the government and the District Assembly for the offer.

The Odikro of the town, Nana Tweiku V111, congratulated, Ms Aidoo for her good works over the years, which he said had gained her another term in office.
