The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia brought smiles on the faces of some cured lepers and street children on new year's day by hosting a party for them at his residence in Accra.
The Vice President was joined by his wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia and friends to give his special guests what was surely a memorable start to the new year.
The cured lepers were drawn from the Cape Coast and Weija Leprosariums, while the street children were selected from the Soup Kitchen run by Christ the King Catholic Church.
The Vice President, who personally dished out meals to his special guests, also freely interacted and shared hearty smiles with them.
Yesterday's new year party was the second time Dr. Bawumia has shared such a happy moment with cured lepers at his residence with his family.
In December 2018, the Vice President and the 2nd Lady hosted over 100 cured lepers to a pre-Christmas party at his residence in Accra.
