Nestle injects 31million cedis into SWAG Seminar

Accra, June 23, GNA - Nestle Ghana Limited, producers of Milo food drink has injected 31million cedis into the maiden Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) seminar which precedes this year's International Day of the Sports Journalist Celebration scheduled for July 2.

The weeklong seminar aimed at equipping sports journalists with topics such as the ethics of the job among others precedes the celebration that seeks to reward journalistic excellence. This year's event, dubbed "Milo-SWAG International day of the Sports Journalist" would for the first time have SWAG and Milo rewarding the Young Journalist of the Year who would be sponsored by Nestle to cover the next Amsterdam marathon billed for October.

Mr. Coline Taylor, Marketing Manager of Nestle underscored the importance of the seminar and challenged the sporting media to take advantage of the occasion to improve upon their skills. He considered Nestle's gesture as a step in the right direction, taking inspiration from what he termed " the strong respect and support for sports development in the country". Mr Ebo Quansah, President of the Association called on the members to seize the opportunity to educate themselves during the seminar.
