Bishop Charles Agyinasare and his church, Perez Chapel International, have fasted and prayed for God’s protection for Togo, Burkina Faso and Cote D’Ivoire.

According to Bishop Agyinasare, there are unseen forces attempting to destabilise these nations and Ghana will bear the brunt should that happen.

Leading his congregation in prayers on Wednesday night at the Perez Dome as part of the church’s month-long fasting and praying activities, Bishop Agyinasare said: “We pray that our brothers will be covered by the blood, that our borders will be covered by the blood...

“All the enemy needs is a breach in the wall...This year is a very good year for us but the devil also has his own plans. In Cote D’Ivoire, the President of Cote D’Ivoire is supposed to do two terms; his term is up but there are [unseen things] trying to change the term…

“In Togo, the President of Togo, his term is ending, there’s a manoeuvering to do things. For the first time in Niger, Niger that has not had any attacks, rebels attacked the military basis of Niger and in one instance killed 79 people, in another instance killed 80 people.

“If any of that confusion spills over, and you know Niger is just on top of Burkina Faso and Burkina is not stable. You remember when the Ivorian crisis came, they came to Ghana, when the Togolese crisis came, they came to Ghana, when it’s happening in the north they will come to Ghana.”

“Now what happens is that if your nation has not planned for the in flocks, then all kinds of things happen. And when rebels flee from their country, they come with their weapons and, so, you and I, we are going to pray, we are going to step in the gap for Togo, for Burkina Faso, we are going to step in the gap for Niger, for Cote D’Ivoire, we’re going to say every plan of the devil to destabilise those countries so that it will destabilise Ghana, it shall not happen on our watch,” he led the congregation to pray.
