Stock indices continue to fall

Accra, July 25, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange continued to be under heavy bearish pressure as the main indices slid once more in trading on Monday.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, fell by 33.38 points to close at 5,149.51 points from Friday's close of 5,182.89 points.

Change for the year-to-date stands at -24.26 per cent from -23.77 per cent on Friday.

On the broader market there were two price changes, both negative. Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited lost 500 cedis at 7,000 cedis while Fan Milk Limited was 300 cedis poorer at 16,200 cedis. Shares traded slid to 441,900 from 657,200 shares on Friday while market capitalisation was poorer at 92,636.61 billion cedis from 92,724.88 billion cedis from 3,400.54 million issued shares.
