2019/20 Ghana Premier League top scorer, Victorien Adebayor is on the verge of joining giants, Accra Hearts of Oak from Inter Allies Football Club according to media reports.
The Nigerien international and captain of the Inter Allies team has scored 11 Premier League goals after matchday 11 surpassing veteran striker Yahaya Mohammed who has 10 goals credited to his name.
After adding ace striker Abednego Tetteh to their ranks, it is alleged that the rainbow club wants to make Adebayor their 'statement' signing of the season as they failed to capture his signature before the close of the transfer window because of the asking price of Inter Allies.
According to the Kumasi based Nhyira FM, Adebayor was spotted with the Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in their MTN FA Cup win over Danbort FC in the Round of 64 matches.
However, it is believed that Togbe Afede XIV wants to capture the signature of the Nigerien to appease their numerous fans, who before the start of the season had called on the club's hierarchy to sign a top-notch striker to lead the Phobians to break their ten-year trophy drought.
