Coronavirus outbreak won’t affect roads construction – Minister

The Minister for Roads and Highways who is also member of Parliament for Atiwa West, Kwasi Amoako Atta has said the targeted road projects for the year 2020 by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo will be carried out as promised without any hindrance.

He emphasized that, despite the outbreak of the virus in China, the financial agreement with the country remains intact.

Mr. Amoako Atta explained that, government is committed to upgrade deplorable roads in the country which were left undone by previous government.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament during the debate of the State of the Nation Address, Kwasi Amoako Atta said the current government has achieved a lot in the roads sector. He indicated that, more interchanges are being constructed to reduce heavy traffic situation on our roads;citing a six and four tier interchange funded by the Republic of Japan under construction on the Tema motorway and Pokuase interchange respectively.
