Loose dog tears man's penis

Accra, Sept. 1, GNA - Fadi Harle, a businessman whose strayed dog nearly devoured the male organ of a student was on Thursday fined 300,000 cedis or in default go to jail for a month, an Accra Circuit Court ordered on Thursday.

Harle, who was charged for allowing his ferocious dog to be at large, pleaded guilty.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Marfo Agyekum, the complainant has filed a civil suit at the law court for the injuries he suffered from the dog's attack.

The case, as presented by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) George Abavelim was that Harle and the complainant lived at West Legon in Accra.

On July 9, this year, Harle travelled and his dog forced its way out of its cage and hounded into the street and pounced on the complainant who was standing outside his gate and tore his penis. Mr Marfo was rushed to the hospital and the incident was reported to the Police.

Prosecution said Harle on his return apologised to Mr Marfo and refunded 1.9 million cedis out of 5.2 million cedis medical bills.
