The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has rendered an unqualified apology for last Saturday’s dumsor in some parts of the country.
In a statement, the power distribution company explained that a system disturbance on its 330KV line led to the unannounced dumsor.
The maintenance team, according to the statement, was able to restore power to all the affected areas at 12:20 AM on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
“GRIDCo apologises for any inconvenience caused and remains committed to its mandate of delivering reliable power supply,” the statement stated further.
The areas affected during the intermittent power outages included parts of the Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern, Northern and Ashanti regions.
