Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has assisted his community in Ghana by distributing bags of rice, cooking oil and hand sanitizers in this lockdown period.

The 22-year-old has given back to the people living in his Nima-441 neighbourhood where he grew up.

Ashimeru was a popular kid in his community because of his football skills and was spotted by WAFA who scouted him at age 12.

"I feel my little contribution can make a difference in my community. I know how it feels to be in a lockdown situation. I pray this Coronavirus issue is properly dealt with so we can continue our normal lives,'' Ashimeru told GHANASoccernet.com

Ashimeru was on the verge of establishing himself in the Red Bull Salzburg XI before football activities were put on hold due to the global health scare.
