Great Olympics midfielder Gladson Awako has backed calls for 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season to be cancelled.
All football activities in the country has been suspended since March due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus.
As at Wednesday April 29, 2020, Ghana has recorded 1,671 confirmed cases of Covid-19, involving 11 deaths.
The FA is yet to make an official statement about the future of the current campaign, however Awako believes the best decision will be to truncate the season.
“To me I feel the points in between the clubs is not that big. I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to cancel the league and restart the season. The FA can use the period to resolve the boardroom issues”, he told YAC Media.
