The Executive Director for the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), Madam Kosi Yankey, will on Friday explain to Ghanaian entrepreneurs' ways of accessing the Government of Ghana’s GH¢600 million soft loan.

Mrs Kosi will be speaking as the lead panellist at the maiden Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) business forum. She will explain to Ghanaians, ways of accessing the loan and qualifications needed. The program will be streamed live on Ghanaweb TV and the official Facebook pages of KPN. It will also host the managing director of the Consolidated Bank of Ghana, one of the few banks to disburse the funds.

The two-hour program will create a platform for selected entrepreneurs to share their experience in this pandemic period. Mr Dan Acquaye, a consultant with the Ministry of Trade and an Agribusiness expert, will be joined by madam Patience Atta Prempeh, CEO of Black Park Limited on the panel. They will provide insight on ways of turning businesses around during this Covid-19 period. The program starts at 3 pm on Friday, 15 May 2020.

President Akufo Addo, during a recent address to the nation, said his Government, in collaboration with the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), Business & Trade Associations and selected Commercial and Rural Banks, will roll out a soft loan scheme up to a total of six hundred million cedis (GH¢600 million). The facility will have a one-year moratorium and two-year repayment period for micro, small and medium scale businesses.
