The Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Chapter, has wished all Muslims 'Ramadan Mubarak' (a blessed Ramadan).

Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.

Mr Raphael Apetorgbor, GRASAG GIMPA chapter president, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the month of Ramadan places emphasis on all that is virtuous and sanctified.

“The lessons underscored by the manifest acts exhibited during this time include good personal and community hygiene; improved sanitation; edifying speech and conduct; sharing with the poor; and above all prayer and supplication,” he said.

“We trust that graduate students of GIMPA will show exemplary leadership in this direction.”

He added that it was also the fervent hope and prayer of GRASAG GIMPA chapter members that the end of Ramadan would also mark the defeat of the deadly novel Coronavirus.

“We therefore urge you to be strengthened in your Ramadan observances,” he said.

"Finally, we wish to assure you that GRASAG GIMPA shall always support you in every possible way we can, and we hereby express our solidarity with your desire to have serene places on campus for your prayers.”
