Parliament will resume sitting today, Tuesday, May 19, 2020, for the second meeting of this session.
The House is expected to work on about 36 Bills.
They include the Affirmative Action Bill, 2020, the Criminal Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2020, the National Ambulance Service (Amendment) Bill, 2020 and the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2020. Eighteen Bills are currently at the Committee level and expected to be worked on during this meeting.
There have been concerns about Parliament’s resumption and how the MPs can observe social distancing in the wake of COVID-19.
