Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has said that no club in the country can survive on sponsorship alone amid coronavirus pandemic.
Following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, all football-related activities has been halted and with clubs source of income dependent on sponsorships and gate proceeds, Moore believes there is no Ghanaian club that can survive on sponsorship.
“Since there will be no gate proceeds for the clubs, I think clubs will continue to suffer with the pandemic”
“In terms of revenue, Hearts of Oka have lost about 2/3 or more. I don’t think there is a club in Ghana that can survive mainly on sponsorship” Moore told Happy FM.
