The Ghana Health Service has received ten new ventilators from Peewood Ltd and the Tema Bonded Terminal to support the fight against COVID-19
These ventilators will augment the already 200 ventilators existing in the country.
Government is also expected to receive 50 more that it has ordered.
Receiving the ventilators on behalf of the government, Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo appreciated the donors for their gesture.
According to him, the donation will greatly boost the government’s fight against the highly infectious disease.
The ventilators will be distributed to specific health facilities across the country.
They are believed to be of the same quality as the one’s government has ordered from abroad.
